CRITERIA

1. PHYSIOLOGY

In need of ventilation support (bag-mask, intubated/attempted intubation)

Respiration Rate < 10/min

1.3

Respiration Rate > 29/min (adults)

1.4

Saturation (SpO2) < 90% without supplemental oxygena

1.5

Pulse Rate > 130/min (in combination with other physiological/anatomical variables)a

Systolic blood pressure < 90 mmHg

GCS ≤ 13 (if significant head injury consider directly to MTC)

Severe hypothermia (< 30 ° C)(when in cardiac arrest consider direct transport to MTC)a

 

2. ANATOMICAL INJURY

Facial injury with potential airway compromisea

Unstable chest wall (flail chest/multiple rib fractures)

3. MECHANISM OF INJURY
