Interleukin (IL)-6 accumulation after incubation of human omental arteries with and without plasma (10%) in the presence of M1 protein and LPS (50 EU mL-1). The presence of plasma caused a statistically significantly greater IL-6 accumulation induced by LPS (*, P = 0.002) and M1 protein at 1 μg mL− 1 (†, P < 0.001).
